Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT) is about to revamp its traditional image with a new logo for its stores and advertisements, a planning official in Tennessee says.
Chip Saliba, a manager with the office of planning and development for Memphis and Shelby County, said the retail chain is set to change from its reserved blue logo to white letters on a burnt-orange background, The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday.
Saliba said the new logo design, which has been filed with planning officials in Memphis, is a vast improvement from the company's previous "boring" design.
