AFC Enterprises Inc. will spice up its Popeye’s fast-food chicken restaurants with a new logo, new menu items and a new branding campaign that began Monday.
Atlanta-based AFC Enterprises (NASDAQ: AFC), whose profits have been flat for two straight quarters, wants to boost the Popeye’s chain by emphasizing the chain as a “Louisiana Kitchen” that provides slow-cooked food “Louisiana Fast.”
There are more than 10 Popeye’s restaurants in the St. Louis metro area.
Austin, Texas-based Pentagram Design has created a new logo for Popeye’s that retains Popeye’s well-known "dancing letters" but updates them with a more contemporary look and feel.
