Lions stand firm in logo fight

The Brisbane Lions maintain that they will be keeping their new logo, and have informed the Victorian Supreme Court that they are prepared to go to court over it.

Fitzroy Football Club, however, is saying that the Brisbane club agreed to keep the original logo which features a lion emblem.

Although Fitzroy and the Lions merged in 1996, Lawyers said on behalf of the Lions that the club was never obliged to use the original logo, but conversely, could it they had wanted.
