Holy Name students win logo design competition

Students at Holy Name Catholic elementary school have won a region-wide contest to design a logo for the 2009 Special Olympics, to be held in Windsor next July.

The school's grade 8 pupils, with the aid of teacher Chris Oneschuk, came up with a design depicting a torch with a flame on top burning in the shape of a maple leaf and the worlds Windsor Summer Games, 2009, encircling it. Underneath were was the message "Together we triumph."
