Continental may be gone, but the logo lives on

The merge between Continental and United Airlines, though referred to by Continental CEO Jeff Smisek as a \"match made in heaven,\" has resulted in hometown Continental losing its name to United Airlines and base in Houston. However, one thing remains from Continental\'s days as an independent- its logo.

While the serif font will now say \"United Airlines,\" the new mega airline has maintained most of Continental\'s old logo, including the criss-crossed sphere logo and blue colour scheme.
