Can I submit my site for inclusion in the LDP directory?
Yes. While most of the website listings added to our inventory are placed there by staff, we also accept suggestions from visitors and site owners. There is no cost to be be added (to any categories EXCEPT the Logo Company Directory and the Top Pages), but there are a few simple rules. Any site you suggest must be appropriate to our site theme and have something to do with the category that you suggest. Any listing must ONLY contain the name of your site, and if it is a professional website, the name of your company. Please do not fill up the title field with keywords - if we approve a listing with overused keywords in the initial submission, we will edit the information as to bring it inline with these policies. How does my website become an 'Our Picks' site?
'Our Pick' sites are selected by our staff as being particularly noteworthy or interesting - if you site meets these criteria, we will add it to our 'Our Picks' call-out boxes rotation. We do not sell these spots, but you can consider purchasing a Sponsor or Partner listing. We also have other advertising options that we'd be happy to discuss with you.
How long does it take for my website to appear?
Generally speaking, your website - once approved - will appear on our pages within 24 hours (though sometimes approval can take 48 hours over weekends and holidays).
Can I use keywords in my company title?
If your company name contains keywords then yes. However, we will not accept site submissions that feature overused keywords - if we approve the listing, we will edit the information you've included accordingly. This directory is not intented as an SEO tool (though any link does help) but rather a tightly edited catalog of design and related sites. Please note that this policy applies to the title AND content of your submission.
When I try to add my site profile, I only see paid options available. I thought adding to the directory was free?
When you access your account control panel, by default you're in the top directory (ROOT). This represents profiles that appear on our top pages and only available to site sponsors. Simply click on the 'change' link and then the '+' button to open the directory tree and view all the available categories and various submission options. All our categories are available for free profiles, except the Logo Company and ROOT directories. If you want more assistance on suggesting a site, see our help section.
Why is Logo Companies a sponsored category?
Essentially, it helps us pay for bandwidth. As we don't feature any Google Adwords, or other external advertising, sponsorship is the only way that we can cover the expenses in running this site. It also helps us maintain a relative exclusivity when it comes to who does, and doesn't, get featured here. As you can probably figure out, this directory is maintained by people who are involved in the logo design business, running small studios and shops. Unfortunately, over the years there are many sites that claim to be run by logo designers, but are simply websites featuring material lifted from other sources (or worse). This has led to an incredible amount of competition when it comes to have logo design sites listed in Search Engines, and accordingly this category is one of the most abused and difficult to keep relevant. By asking people who wish to be listed in our logo companies category to pay a nominal monthly fee, this restricts submissions to people who are serious about their websites, and thus maintains a high level of integrity when it comes to sites that are listed. For websites that are showcases of logos, or sites that are information driven, there are our other categories that are relevant and more importantly - no charge.

This site is known as Logo & Design Pros, yet there's a lot of non logo design sites listed?
What started off as a logo design specific site quickly evolved into sites dealing with the entire graphic design industry. We now run the gamut from Illustrators, blogs & organizations, to art based shoppes and what have you, while we're kinda stuck with the domain name. This is due to how LDP started, and the people behind it. You can read a little more about the

Does paying for a sponsorship spot guarantee an approved listing?
No. All profiles submitted to our index are reviewed and that INCLUDES paid submissions. Sponsorship packages are nominally priced, so we're not about to ruin the relevance of the sites included for revenue generated by sponsorship listings. However, if you pay for a sponsorship spot, and it's not approved, we'll refund your credit card right away (unlike some bigger engines who actually state that they'll keep your money). If you're unsure about the appropriateness of your website for inclusion, feel free to contact us beforehand.
Can I submit an affiliate link?
No. We do not accept affiliate links from anyone, to anywhere. That includes Amazon, Ebay, or anywhere else. Any affiliate spam will be nuked on sight. This isn't us being snobby, or trying to stop you from feeding your children - there's a very real technical reason that we can't approve this submissions (it has to do with the ridiculously long URLs).
